Let's Cook

  1. Step 1.

    Prepare the horseradish mustard and chili relish from scratch in advance, if using homemade versions. Store them in the refrigerator until needed.

  2. Step 2.

    Grill an all-beef hot dog over medium heat, turning occasionally, until the casing is slightly charred and the dog is heated through, about 5–7 minutes.

  3. Step 3.

    While the hot dog is grilling, finely chop white onions and set aside.

  4. Step 4.

    Place the grilled all-beef hot dog into a classic bun. Spread a smear of horseradish mustard along the top of the dog, then spoon 1–2 tablespoons of chili relish over the mustard. Finish with a generous handful of finely chopped white onions.
