Let's Cook

  1. Step 1.

    Place foil on cookie sheet and spray with PAM.

  2. Step 2.

    Place walnuts and sugar in nonstick skillet over high heat.

  3. Step 3.

    Stir with wooden spoon as the sugar begins to dissolve and caramelize.

  4. Step 4.

    Stir continuously.

  5. Step 5.

    When walnuts and sugar are dark amber and golden brown, quickly remove from pan onto the foil.

  6. Step 6.

    Spread the nuts out with the spoon.

  7. Step 7.

    Cool completely.

  8. Step 8.

    Break into pieces and store in frig.

  9. Step 9.

    Serve with tender salad greens, bits of fruit, and crumbles of soft cheese.

  10. Step 10.

    Also good on top of sundaes and oatmeal.
